Fat Burning Soup Recipe

This fat burning soup recipe is not a part of the diet with the same name, but it’s a good idea to incorporate it into your diet on a regular basis.

The recipe is pretty basic.

You can replace one or more of the vegetables with the same amount of another type.

You can also alter the seasoning to your taste.

4 servings

Ingredients

2 bunches of spring onions or 1 big leek, chopped
1 medium or ½ big cauliflower, in bouquets or 2 medium or 1 big broccoli
125 gr spinach or ½ small cabbage
1 big red, green or yellow bell pepper, seeds removed, chopped
6-8 stems of celery, chopped
2-3 big carrots, sliced
1-2 teaspoon each of crushed cumin seeds and coriander seeds (optional)
1 portion of chicken or vegetable stock
4-5 big, ripe tomatoes, chopped or 1 can of crushed tomatoes
Juice of ½ a lemon or 1 lime (optional)
1 handful of chopped parsley
2 cloves of onion, finely chopped (optional)
¼ -1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Preparation

1. Put all the vegetables except the tomatoes in a large stock pot together with the herbs you want to use. Add stock and some water, just to cover the vegetables. Heat the soup until it almost boils, then add the tomatoes and the lemon or lime juice.

2. Add your herbs and the garlic, add cayenne pepper to taste.

3. Bring to a boil and cook the soup slowly for about 20-30 minutes.
